Szia Levente!

Én nem tudok elmenni a mai előadásra, de igazán érdekelne bármi slide, összefoglaló, kép, stb róla - koptilag, hagyományilag, keresztényileg, most amúgy is Karácsonyt közelítve...

Üdv

Tamás

The Flight of the Holy Family to Egypt in Coptic Tradition
by
Dr. Imre Lázár
The lecture will be held in English.
4th of Dec., 17.00
Venue:
Bajza str.(u.) 54. House of Nations (Nemzetek Háza) & online

Egypt is not only the land of pyramids, nor does it only evoke the One Thousand and One Nights. In addition to the land of Pharaonic and Islamic wonders, there is also an Egypt that often remains undiscovered: that of the Copts – the Egyptian Christians. According to the narration of the Bible, the Saviour, fleeing the persecution of Herod, found refuge on this blessed land. The lecture maps the living memory of the Holy Family's journey to Egypt. The audience will be guided through the places where the two thousand year old Coptic tradition has preserved the memory of the visit.

Dr. Imre Lázár PhD. is cultural diplomat, former Director of Hungarian Cultural Office in Cairo. He is author of the books Keresztény zarándokhelyek Egyiptomban (Christian Pilgrimage Sites in Egypt) and Egyiptomi kolostorok (Egyptian Monasteries).
