Dear Colleague

We are pleased to inform you that the dates for next year's Darwin
Scholarship are now available.  The programe will take place 20th August -
30th August 2014 and is targeted at young people under the age of 35,
studying at graduate or post graduate level or be a young lecturer or work
for an environmental organisation.

Designed for young scientists from around the world studying or working in
biology or ecology, the short scholarship programme aims to develop "better
naturalists" in the spirit of Darwin's love of nature and observing the
natural world. Activities, excursions, lectures and workshops will focus on
skills of observation and identification, recording biodiversity, and
communicating biodiversity to different target groups.

We hope that you may be interested in attending this programme and also
hope that you will be able to spread the news and encourage friends and
colleagues to apply.  The deadline for applications is Monday 20th January
2014.

Please do pass this email on to anyone you feel would benefit from the
exciting programme and also if appropriate can you advertise it on your
website or in your newsletter.
