<i>Jézus sokakat meggyógyít, és megsokasítja a kenyeret. </i><br>
Abban az időben Jézus a Galileai-tengerhez érkezett. Fölment egy hegyre,
 és leült. Nagy sokaság jött hozzá. Hoztak magukkal sántákat, bénákat, 
vakokat, némákat meg sok más beteget, és lába elé tették őket. 
Valamennyiüket meggyógyította.<br>
Amikor a nép látta, hogy a némák beszélnek, a bénák meggyógyulnak, a 
sánták járnak és a vakok látnak, elámult, és magasztalta Izrael Istenét.<br>
Jézus akkor összehívta tanítványait, és így szólt hozzájuk: „Sajnálom a 
népet. Már harmadnapja kitartanak mellettem, és nincs mit enniük. Nem 
akarom étlen hazaküldeni őket, hogy ki ne dőljenek az úton.”
A tanítványok erre <span style="color:rgb(7,55,99)"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">megjegyezték: „De honnan szerzünk itt a pusztában 
annyi kenyeret, hogy ekkora tömeget ellássunk?”</span></span><br>
Jézus megkérdezte tőlük: „Hány kenyeretek van?”<br>
„Hét, és néhány apró halunk” – felelték.<br>
<u>Erre meghagyta a népnek, hogy telepedjék le a földre. Aztán fogta a hét 
kenyeret és a halakat, hálát adott, megtörte és odaadta tanítványainak, a
 tanítványok pedig a népnek. Miután mindnyájan ettek és jóllaktak, hét 
kosár kenyérmaradékot szedtek össze.</u><br>

 today’s Gospel, <span style="background-color:rgb(208,224,227)"><b>Jesus multiplies the loaves and the fishes.</b></span> There is no
 better exemplification in the Scriptures of what I have called<span style="background-color:rgb(255,242,204)"><b> the loop
 of grace.</b></span> God offers, as a sheer grace, the gift of being, but if we 
try to cling to that gift and make it our own, we lose it. <br><br><span style="background-color:rgb(255,242,204)"><b>The 
constant command of the Bible is this: what you have received as a gift,
 give as a gift—and you will find the original gift multiplied and 
enhanced. One realizes this truth when one enters willingly into the 
loop of grace, giving away that
which one is receiving. </b></span><br><br><span style="background-color:rgb(208,224,227)"><b>The hungry people who gather around 
Jesus in this scene </b></span><span style="background-color:rgb(255,242,204)"><b>are symbolic of</b></span> <span style="background-color:rgb(217,234,211)"><b>the hungry human race,</b></span><span style="background-color:rgb(234,209,220)"><b> starving</b></span>,<span style="background-color:rgb(217,234,211)"><b>

fill up the emptiness with wealth, pleasure, power, honor, the sheer
