<i>Az Eucharisztia hitet kíván tőlünk. </i><br>
Abban az időben, amikor Jézus Kafarnaumban az élet kenyeréről beszélt,
tanítványai <span style="color:rgb(19,79,92)"><span style="color:rgb(39,78,19)">közül</span>,</span> <span style="color:rgb(39,78,19)">akik </span>(szavait) hallották,<span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)"> többen azt mondták: „Kemény
beszéd ez. Ugyan ki hallgatja?”</span><br>
</b>Jézus tudta, hogy tanítványai <span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)">méltatlankodtak </span>miatta, azért így szólt
hozzájuk: „Ez<span style="color:rgb(39,78,19)"> <span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)">megbotránkoztat</span> titeket?</span> Hát ha majd azt látjátok, hogy az
Emberfia fölmegy oda, ahol azelőtt volt! A Lélek az, ami életre kelt, <span style="color:rgb(39,78,19)">a
test</span> <span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)">nem használ semmit.</span> A szavak, amelyeket nektek mondok, Lélek és
élet. <span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)">De</span><b><span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)"> vannak</span><span style="color:rgb(39,78,19)"><span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)"> </span>közöttetek,</span><span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)"> akik nem</span> hisznek.” Jézus ugyanis kezdettől
fogva tudta, hogy<span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)"> kik nem </span>hisznek benne, és hogy <span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)">ki fogja<span style="color:rgb(255,0,0)"> őt </span>elárulni.</span><br>
Aztán így folytatta: „Ezért mondtam nektek, hogy<span style="color:rgb(39,78,19)"> senki <span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)">sem</span></span><span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)"> </span>jöhet hozzám, hacsak az Atya meg nem adja <span style="color:rgb(39,78,19)">neki</span>.”<br>
Ettől kezdve tanítványai<span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)"> közül sokan visszahúzódtak, és többé nem jártak </span>vele.<br>
Jézus ezért a tizenkettőhöz fordult: „Ti<span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)"> is el akartok menni</span>?”
Simon Péter ezt válaszolta neki: <u>„Uram, kihez menjünk? Az örök élet igéi
nálad vannak. Mi hittünk, és tudjuk, hogy te vagy az Isten Szentje.”</u><br>
Ezek az evangélium igéi.

said they had no life unless they were to eat his flesh and drink his

</span> has the gift of the Eucharist been, from the beginning, a source of </span>
</span><span style="color:rgb(102,0,0)">contention?</span> </b></span>Why have we, from Jesus’ time to the present day, been
fighting over it? Shouldn’t it be the source of our unity and deepest
joy? Well, yes. But we can’t overlook the fact that<span style="color:rgb(255,0,0)"><b> <span style="background-color:rgb(255,242,204)"><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">it has always

wonderful that Peter responds, as he did in the synoptic Gospels to
another of Jesus’ probing questions,<span style="background-color:rgb(208,224,227)"> "<b>Master, to whom shall we go? You
have the words of eternal life.</b>"</span> <span style="background-color:rgb(255,242,204)"><b>That is the great Catholic answer, the
