 is<span style="background-color:rgb(234,209,220)"> no </span>way into the gate <u>but through</u> Christ. </b></span>I realize that these are 
difficult words for us who have been raised on the language of inclusion
 and tolerance. But they are the heart of Christian proclamation.</span><br><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:18px;font-weight:400;line-height:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;font-family:georgia,"times new roman";font-style:normal">The Apostles did not proclaim an accomplishment of ours, a new set of ideas, a new philosophy, or a new self-help program.
They proclaimed that God has </span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:18px;font-weight:400;line-height:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;font-family:georgia,"times new roman";font-style:italic">done</span><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:18px;font-weight:400;line-height:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;font-family:georgia,"times new roman";font-style:normal"> something: he has raised Jesus of Nazareth from the dead.</span><br><br><span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-size:18px;font-weight:400;line-height:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;font-family:georgia,"times new roman";font-style:normal">And
 because of the Resurrection, Jesus is Lord—which is to say God, which 
is to say the center, the all, the everything, the unsurpassable. In 
him, the Father’s word has been spoken to the human race, and there is 
no more that he could say. The Resurrection is God’s ratification of all
 of the exorbitant claims that Jesus made
about himself. <span style="background-color:rgb(255,242,204)"><u><b>He is the way, the truth, and the life. </b></u></span></span></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b></b>
