-          Hong Kong Chinese media magnate, Catholic democracy advocate,
Jimmy Lai has been jailed in Hong Kong since 2020 with the charge of having
violated China’s security law, for his role in pro-democracy demonstrations
in 2019.

The prosecution began this week closing arguments in Jimmy’s trial. Jimmy’s
health continues to decline.

Jimmy Lai’s son, Sebastian gives an update:

-          Jimmy has pled  ‘not guilty’ to two charges of:

-          - colluding with foreign powers,

-          - a separate charge of sedition

-          Jimmy Lai is in prison for his courage, for defending his
people,

-          he landed in Hong Kong when he was twelve,

-          had run away from Communist China

-          now 77 years old, and in prison, with declining health – this is
his sacrifice

-          the Hong Kong Government claims that J.L. urged foreign
governments to sanction China

-          J. Lai said that his job is to hold the torch to the truth,

-          a textbook example of a show-trial, the weaponization of the
legal system.

-          J. Lai is still fighting, he’s still holding on.

-          an open trial – it can be followed in Hong Kong.

-          President Trump promised to bring up the case of getting him
out.

-          In the trial: there is no jury,  the 3 judges are handpicked.

-          no fair trial. – The witnesses are tortured to give testimony.

-          Jimmy Lai is a British citizen – The UK Prime Minister  and the
Government have not taken any practical steps to take him out.

-          Jimmy Lai has been mostly held in solitary confinement. Recently
he has had heart pulpitation.

-          His faith is a very strong pillar and many people pray for him.

-          An endless show trial that has dragged on for five years.

-          How can people support J. Lai’s freedom and the family?

-          J. Lai believes that the truth will finally come out. We should
pray for him, follow along and keep pressure on the Hong Kong government.

-          We haven’t heard enough from the Church.

What are we going to do with these kids?

The hardest part of doing therapy is convincing the people to do something

If both spouses are faith filled

For those spouses who exercise natural family planning the divorce rate is
very low.

If you change yourself first, and if you believe in a Saviour who says you
should be a better person you have better chances.

Opposites attract if you want to have a short term relationship.

Likes attract., in fact.

The statistics are clear: divorces are much higher if you live together
first, before marriage.
