(u.) 54.The Tragedy of Man (Hungarian: Az ember tragédiája) is a 2011 Hungarian animated epic drama film directed by the late  Marcell Jankovics, a famous Hungarian artist and animated movie director. Marcell Jankovics's last work has been made for almost 30 years.The original play that the movie based on is one of the cornerstones of Hungarian literature. It was written by Imre Madách in 1861 whose 200th year anniversary was celebrated last year. The narrative is set in several different historical eras. The story starts with the Biblical creation of the World;  Adam, Eve and Lucifer's (the Devil) seduction. Expelled from Paradise, Adam fells asleep.  In Adam's dream Lucifer accompanies Adam and in each act shows Adam the future of mankind . Lucifer introduces different periods of history to Adam. In each period the first man tries to understand the meaning of life and society, human relations and meets Eve. In the movie of Jankovics each segment has a different visual style to reflect the art of the respective time periods. A beautiful but highly philosophical movie that may give answer to great questions of our time.The participation is free, registration is not requiredLevente
