*Magasba kell emeltetnie az Emberfiának, * hogy örökké éljen minden őbenne

* Senki sem ment föl a mennybe, csak az, aki a mennyből alászállott: az
Emberfia, Jézus Krisztus. Abban az időben: Nikodémus éjnek idején
felkereste Jézust, aki így szólt hozzá: „Ne csodálkozzál, hogy azt mondtam
neked: újjá kell születnetek! A szél ott fúj, ahol akar: hallod ugyan a
zúgását, de nem tudod, honnan jön, és hová megy, így van ez mindenkivel,
aki a Lélekből született.” Erre Nikodémus megkérdezte: „Hogyan lehetséges
ez?” Jézus így válaszolt neki: „Te Izrael népének tanítója vagy, és nem
érted ezeket? Bizony, bizony, mondom neked, hogy arról beszélünk, amit
tudunk; és arról tanúskodunk, amit látunk. De a mi tanúságtételünket nem
fogadjátok el. Ha földi dolgokról beszélek nektek és azt sem hiszitek el,
hogyan fogjátok elhinni, ha mennyei dolgokról beszélek majd nektek? Senki
sem ment föl a mennybe, csak az, aki a mennyből alászállott: az Emberfia.
És amint Mózes felemelte a kígyót a pusztában, úgy fogják felmagasztalni az
Emberfiát is, hogy mindaz, aki hisz benne, el ne vesszen, hanem örökké
éljen.” Ezek az evangélium igéi. *

*Friends, after speaking of being born of the Spirit, Jesus says in today’s
Gospel: “No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from
heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the
desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes
in him may have eternal life.”Genesis tells us that, at the beginning, the
Spirit of God hovered over the surface of the waters, drawing order from
chaos. Creation is nothing but the overflow from the intensity of
Trinitarian love. Thus, all things—to the very root of their existence—flow
from and are marked by the Spiritus Sanctus (Holy Spirit). *He is their
ground, their secret origin, their principle.

*And more to the point, the Holy Spirit is the end of all things. God has
created a dynamic universe, moving restlessly and relentlessly toward a
goal, and this goal has been disclosed to us in Christ: the sharing in the
love between the Father, who has given his only Son to the world, and the
Son, who has offered himself back to the Father.*








*Uram, tégy engem békéd eszközévé, hogy szeressek ott, ahol gyűlölnek, hogy
megbocsássak ott, ahol megbántanak, hogy összekössek, ahol széthúzás van,
hogy reménységet keltsek, ahol kétségbeesés kínoz, hogy fényt gyújtsak,
ahol sötétség uralkodik, hogy örömet hozzak oda, ahol gond tanyázik.
