is killing themselves, she argued. It is as problematic as a priest or
anyone to hold the hand of or support a woman who gets an abortion. Real
accompaniment, she said, is supporting and helping someone who is
suffering, not being complicit in their own death, which is an “act of
disconnection.”

Dr. Miller and I then spoke about how *Christ** said it would have been
better if Judas had never been born*. I’ve said on many occasions that to
claim that Judas is not in hell is to make Christ a liar. Dr. Miller agreed
with me*. Jesus often spoke about how souls are thrown into the fire of
Gehenna, she said. **She then called on the head of the Congregation for
the Doctrine of the Faith to “make a correction” **because it is
“dangerous” that this sort of statement would be given by such** a
high-ranking Vatican official. *
